This was, when I was trying to open a page info window. The window only showed
the windowborder and just crashed.

I just reinstalled ubuntu dapper, and it looks to me that mozilla-
mplayer is the cause. After I installed mozilla-mplayer and browsed a
site, using a embedded media video, it crashed after a while. But the
strange thing is that mplayer is not making it crash, but a popup dialog
or something like t
I've been using my Dell Inspiron 6400 for 3 weeks, almost every day.
I've been running these kernels: 2.6.15-25-686 and 2.6.15-26-686. No
problems at all. I guess the bug is fixed. Can anyone confirm?

This is no problem anymore in edgy. This is some time ago, and I believe
it had something to do with my X-config or with some unstable packages
for my videodriver (which I installed back then, when I wanted XGL to
work)

Thanks for filing the upstream bug report. I totally agree that this bug
is of low importance.
My colleague actually encountered this problem because he really didn't
want a SSH tunnel to time out. He could not figure out what was causing
the crash but I found it out after some digging
