Seeing the same issue on the same configuration, but occurs every 24h,
to within a few minutes or seconds after the following systemd timer
goes off.

The updat
beegfs-meta went into high CPU lock-up again today, at 6:27:07 am, even
with daily updates disabled. So apt-daily-upgrade is not directly
related to the hangs.
It turns out though that there is other stuff scheduled around that time
by daily cron:
25 6* * * roottest -x /usr/sbin/anacron
Following up on rmcd's comment: neither of my monitors is rotated, and I
still have issues with the proprietary nvidia drivers.
I am now running on the open source nouveau drivers. They have a couple
other glitches (I can watch flash videos only on the leftmost monitor!),
but no slowdown over time
Same issue here: after a while, youtube slows down to a crawl.
Restarting the X server brings performance up to acceptable levels, only
to slow down after a while again.
I'm running Xinerama across 3 monitors, and have two graphics cards
installed.

I have the same issue: it is difficult to grab the borders, especially
on large high-res screens. I could not find a way to adjust the size of
the borders in unity-2d.

Another one: Alt + Middle Mouse button resizes as well. Still, I don't
want to reach for the keyboard when I'm resizing windows.
