QCOW2's created on Trusty (Qemu 1.7.0+dfsg-3ubuntu2) fail when
attempting any operation (read/mount/resize, etc) on Precise (1.0
+noroms-0ubuntu13).
This bug is affecting the cloud image build process for newer
architectures.
On 14.04
$ qemu-img create -o compat=0.10 -f qcow
My test case was flawedI was creating the QCOW to the same file name
with out removing the previous file. I've confirmed that setting the
compat to 0.10 works.

Patched cloud-init to deal with this effectively by adding the ability
for cloud-init to remove existing parititions and changed the Azure
configuration to delete the existing partitions on the ephemeral device.

The problem that I see here is that OpenStack is only part of the cloud
story -- there are others including EC2, Windows Azure, and even
instances on other clouds where SSH is the standard mechanism to access
the host. In order for this to work, the tool would need to either have
a generic message
I think the path forward is to canonize the idea that Cloud images are
server + cloudy packages.
With that I would put landscape-client in the server seed. Then I can
change the live-build recipe for Saucy.

Public bug reported:
After upgrading from 13.04 to 13.10, I am no longer able to control
networking at all as an average user. My user is unable to change any
aspect of the network via nm-applet including starting system
connections.
IMHO, this is a critical regression, as it prevents users from

I didn't have access to control netwokring, audio or printing by
default. I was able to get audio and webcam by changing group
permissions, but upgrades from Raring to Saucy make the desktop
unusable.
