shortest possible, but on my system, readahead is adding up to 90 seconds to my
boot time.
I've attached my lastest bootchart log and my dmesg.
On dmesg between line 505 and 506, it's visible th
i've added "profile" on grub several times in the past.
I usually do it after i get a new kernel, or change my startup services.
IIRC I did run it for 2.6.27-4-generic.

All with kernel 2.6.27.
With 2.6.25 it was (FINALLY) working after I replaced my faulty intel
wifi card.
If I have the time, I'll make tests with the PPA NM and WPA vs
Reinhard I tested 3 diferent WPA (not WPA2) networks, and suffered the
mention symptoms of this bug and the quasi-dupe #260656.
All with kernel 2.6.27.

that had a single zip inside them.

As promised I did a few test last night.
I create several archives with 3 levels of sub-archives from zip, tar.gz and
tar.lzma.

Richard I've updated the Subject of this bug to reflect it true nature.
The search bar is available, but not the menu shortcut to turn it in/visible as
it used to be on older versions.
Both 3.x and 4.x have this behaviour.
