Well, the problems I was having with the zaptel package and having
interrupts not work right have completely gone in Hardy. I don't know
about the original bug in kqemu. Has anyone tested it with 2.6.24 in

Tested against Hardy alpha3. Same issue. (Not surprising as the code
hasn't changed).
However, I find that the /var/log/messages leads one into a false sense
of security. It seems to install OK, but trying to rmmod it kills it.
There doesn't seem to be anything I can test DVB on with the live C

it seems to be using the ide_disk code?!? Anyway, I guess that's what
happens when one works with memory addresses one shouldn't (?).

Well I found why it is happening, but I cannot explain it.
In the asfdemux plugin in gstreamer the framerate is set bizarrely if
not known. The code from gstasfdemux.c in the
gst_asf_demux_process_chunk function shows why 5fps:

of "bad" plugins.
The cook.so.6.0 file is in the w32codecs package offered in medibuntu.
This is clearly a bug. It should at least tell you that it isn't going

Hi, I hope this isn't too late but I had the same problem. It was a
wired mouse with the circle green plug end. I disconnected that one and
plugged in a USB mouse and the pointer showed up and has been working
fine.

I am in the same boat as Lauris and Smilga,
