When I use xrandr to deal with last bug with display options saving (reported

Unity launcher and top bar turns into garbage (random pixel noise).
These should be refreshed after display mode change. First interaction using
mouse refreshes them but until that they are

After switching from HDMI cable to simple D-SUB, display is correct (no
interlce).

Confirmed.
My LCD screen started to flicer after installation of graphic drivers (Nvidia).
It seems the problem is somwhere before graphic driver initialization.
After switching from Auto to fixed rate 50Hz or 60Hz (Refresh rate =>
NVidia XServer settings) flickering stopped.

Nvidia (display) settings are not stored/remembered after logoff or reboot.
Well, its using max resolution (LCD monitor) but everytime goes interlaced, and
screen starts to flicker.
Every time i log in i need to setup display (resolution and refresh rate) to
