I run up-to-date kubuntu (which in my view seems to have several kde
packages from 4.1.3), and still have following:

I upgraded to latest KDE. Also digikam was upgraded in some point being
now:
ii digikam 2:1.0.0~beta3-1ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa1
ii digikam-dbg 2:1.0.0~beta3-1ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa1
Soon I realized that still something is wrong. I don't know what.
Anyways, here is my current workaround:
