I finally gave up on Rhythmbox and I am sticking with Guayadeque. You
can sort static playlists AND you can export/import radio station lists,
and it doesn't crash on me like Banshee always has. I recommend the PPA
version instead of the default repository version, as Guayadeque is
*gasp* actively
Agree that this is a bug, not an opinion. Calling it a "design choice"
does not mitigate the problem; these design choices limiting choice are
themselves bugs, and don't cease to be so just because the designers
refuse to acknowledge reality.

Panel opacity is affecting quicklist opacity on my 12.04 64bit system
too. My quicklist items are downright un-readable (see my screenshot).
My panel opacity is set to 0.1, launcher opacity to 0.45, and "Panel
Opacity for Maximized Windows Toggle" is checked to be active. I have no

I am not sure if this is related (or if the affected package is even
LightDM), but on my laptop running 11.10 32 bit (clean install, no
upgrade), every time I lock the screen and then come back to my laptop
the dialog box warns me that the numlock key is on even though it
isn't.

I thought trying to reproduce it might be difficult, but actually, I

Just a note, I ran the apport command as instructed, and it generated a
dialog box that asked me if this problem was related to Unity rather
than Compiz. The only options in the dialog box were yes and no. Since I
don't really know, I just clicked "No" to get beyond that dialog box.
