I was able to use my fingerprint reader for logging in to Ubuntu with
version 8.10; however, when upgrading to 9.04 it stopped working. I
checked the pam.d/common-auth (comments removed):
authsufficient pam_thinkfinger.so

I just did the system updates and it is now working so it seems to be
resolved as it is now using gnome-games version 1:2.24.1.1.-0ubuntu1. I
suspect this is a temporary fix until things get cleaned up with the
newer version. Thanks for your efforts at tracking this down patching it

I am running Ubuntu 8.04 on a Dell XPS M1330. After suspend I have
restart all the networking stuff (rmmod iwl3945, modprobe, and do a
networking restart via a dbus/resume.d/ script. In any case, it re-
establishes the wireless connection just fine but the nm-applet does not
show that it is connect
p.s. I would be happy to do any testing or share configuration
information - just let me know what you would like to see.

Just to follow up that I do have suspend working now. I think I did have
to remove the mod iwl3945 and modprobe it on resume in order to get it
to work but it is functioning now for me. If I turn networking off in
the nm-applet then it resets as ethanray indicated. For the most part, I

Interesting, I have a Dell XPS m1330 on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04. For suspend,
I have to reboot in order to re-establish a connection. It seems able to
scan but not to connect after starting back up. I believe the mod

virtualbox-6.1, added the repository, and installed 6.1.16 and was able
to move forward. So #12 and #15 helped me get things working again. I
agree with @stamster that it would be good to get 20.04 LTS bumped to

working again without the blur and I needed to go back to being
