I've tried everything tried here and looked around on launchpad and google as
well. Here is the setup:
- AMD Duron 700 MHz machine, GeForce2 MX400 card, worked fine with Compiz,
nvidia binary driver in Hardy.
- Upgraded to Intrepid from Hardy...all went fine (besides the warning about
SOLUTION: Please note my problem above. I have found a solution and want
to contribute back the solution to the community.
the CC compiler error with nvidia was fixed by using:
export CC=/usr/bin/gcc so that it uses the current gcc and the compile
went fine.

Verified that the issue is reproducible in an upgrade from a jaunty
install upgraded to karmic. There is no Bonjour broadcast of the
printers happening even with remote protocol dns-sd.

This is the version in which it is fixed for sure. Is the recommendation
to stay on this kernel? I assume its unlikely to be back ported?

This bug is reproducible on 11.10 and 12.04. Specifically this occurs
when the md array has a failed device. However this is a big issue
because the live usb is critical to resolving failed md device issues.

I am unable to see the camera streaming and this is happening on two servers
with similar 12.04 setups (both were upgraded from previous version
