On 14.10, I couldn't get the new EWS account to show up at all - the URL
fetch works fine. But once you complete the wizard, the newly created
account doesn't show. When I ran as root, there was a new prompt to
create a new keyring (and a password for it). There was another prompt
later for the exc

(more than one as I tried twice) I had created before showed up. I was
prompted for the keyring password and the account password at boot -

/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d (rather than /etc/X11).

I see this on 13.04 - the switcher shows up slow(sometimes fast), but
switching between the various apps (by hitting tab with alt pressed) is
slow (especially if there are multiple windows for a particular app).

I have this problem with a fresh install of 12.04.
Christophe's keyboard.gnome-settings-plugin replacement work-around did
not work for me - the daemon spawned back with a vengeance and started
using 100% of one of my cores. But I can live with the default
autorepeat setting and am not overloading
Just saw this myself. This hasn't happened to me before, and the trigger
seems to be moving session tabs out of the 'main' application with
multiple session tabs. I moved two in the middle of the tab list one at
a time to another 'group'. Specifically, moved one out, then moved
another into the one
I just reproduced this too. Apport did its automatic bug creation but I
found three other bugs with the same apport generated title, one which
looked very similar to mine (bug #867565) and so I opted to subscribe
to that bug rather than create a new one.

Nope, roll back to 2.6.35-24 made it worse. Possibly because I had to
re-install 260.19.06-0ubuntu1 and that seem to reset something. I am now

I switched to the open source 'nv' driver present by default (by
manually editing xorg.conf). I don't need fancy graphics. All I need is
a dual monitor setup and I got that working through the generic System
->Preferences-Monitors configuration utility. It detected the monitors
just fine and let me
I haven't had trouble after I swapped my Logitech USB keyboard with a
Dell PS/2 one. But then I have had days without problems before. Alt-Tab
might be again keyboard related? I don't know. But yes, if you have a
Logitech USB keyboard, you might want to try swapping it for something
else.

after I swapped the keyboards (new log attached). Its my work PC and it

Switched to the nouveau drivers. No Unity (there apparently is an
experimental dri package libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental that you can
install to get 3D support - but I want things stable). Seems stable now
and fast (alt tab etc) too. I do wish this gets fixed though.

So ran into the problem again. Uninstalled nvidia-current and nvidia-
settings. Back to the same work around as described in comment #19. And
nv isn't open, its proprietary. But is stable. I am not going to try
nouveau as it still doesn't support 3D fully and I am just fine with 2D,
