I have exactly the same issue on Linux Mint 21.3 (based on Ubuntu 22.04)
with the kernel 5.15.0-116 and Virtualbox installed from Ubuntu repo
(version 6.1.50-dfsg-1~ubuntu1.22.04.1).
After trying to go back to previous kernel version 5.15.0-113, all my VM
worked again. So, it seems the last

This is an old issue but it still happens today and this is a big issue

I just installed Kubuntu 22.04.4 and I noticed after updates via
Discover that Firefox is still in version 122.0.1 even if the snap
version is 124.0.1. After checking, it seems this is related to snapd
update.
I add a screen to show that the system indicates "up-to-date" with an
old versio
I add that I tried a fresh install of Kubuntu 23.10 and after updating
the system, I still have Firefox in version 118, see screen. So the bug
is still there.
I would like to try with 24.04 current ISO but I got an error during the
