Either way whenever I plug my iPod in it gets detected properly and
mounted automatically. It opens Rhythmbox with iPod selected as a source

installed it once again on edgy. Then it wouldn't start with the mentioned
error. Removing /usr/lib/python.2.4/site-packages/istanbul fixes it.
I guess that just deleting this directory in postinst will be fine.

either so reopening. Buggy udev was the reason then and it has been
since fixed, so a simple rebuild should do.

After further investigation, I believe this is related to
