Can confirm this on up-to-date vanilla Ubuntu 14.04.
Selecting a certificate causes the whole nm-connection-editor
application to go completely insane, continuously spewing out this on
stderr:
(nm-connection-editor:7532): Gtk-CRITICAL **:
gtk_file_chooser_select_filename: assertion 'filename != N
Just giving my 2 cents in, i agree that for some users the launcher suddenly
hiding would be confusing, but i say "Dodge active window" and "Dodge all
windows" should still be available as options (selectable through ccsm, ubuntu
tweak, what have you, for the poweruser) and just set the default
