This happens on all lucid computers, both upgraded and fresh installs.
Strangely this is not a problem on my computer, which has English as default
language.
This is a major show stopper for newly converted users. I have convinced a lot
of non-tech people to ditch Windows in favor of Ubuntu rece

Actually there is a patch changing wish to wish8.5 (IIRC), i'll try to
remove it tonight and see what happens. As i said, this happens on all
lucid installations with a Norwegian interface. I can write the
norwegian characters on computers with a non-norwegian interface. All
i've done is install ub

fear it won't can't be fixed. What you can do is to test the current

So for it looks like SSL support isn't working, but it hasn't for a while
anyways. We may have to remove SSL support alltogether in order to comply with
some licencing issues:
