Using a modified bugfix solves the problem for me:
Add /lib/udev/keymaps/acer-aspire_1810tz:
0xD9 bluetooth # (toggle) on-to-off
Add the following line in /lib/udev/rules.d/95-keymap.rules:

1) Downloaded spyder-2.0.6.zip from Sourceforge
2) sudo aptitude install sphinx
3) unzip and cd into directory

Same on my Acer Aspire 1810TZ running Kubuntu 11.04 (Natty).
Buttons are recognised and configured properly in system settings but screen
brightness can't be changed.
Also, every time the screen is dimmed to save power the screen brightness
