14.04 server to 16.04 using do-release-upgrade. My static IP configured
in /etc/network/interfaces was configured to come up on eth0. Logging in
on the console and replacing eth0 with ens32 in that interfaces file and

I have run into a situation where this is more troublesome. In my case,
I'm trying to deploy Ubuntu server on a diskless system using iSCSI. The
storage network is isolated and only accessible on one network interface
and the other interface is used for traditional network traffic and
internet conn
I am having the same type of problem. Installing with 11.04 to an iSCSI
volume seems to work great. But upon rebooting, it breaks at the same
spot. Right after app armor.
What I have narrowed it down to is that I have a virtual CD drive
attached via IPMI to provide the ISO image for the install, b

Colin, would remote console (KVM) access to a system to test with be
useful? I have a system with IPMI that you can access and attempt an
install/boot on.
