I had a similar problem and I resolved it by installing the VLC player.

My video card is a series 1600 Radeon from ATI and it will not install with any
of the files from ATI for (Legacy?) cards. I keep getting Error:
/default_policy.sh does not support version

*I selected the files (Video ) and copied them to the USB. I was able after
writing you to recover my directory and re enable everything on my
computer. Thanks for your interest and help. I have as of yesterday
installed UBUNTU version 16.04LTS on my computer and I expect to get the
