FYI: I've upgraded to Hardy (over Gutsy, not clean) and bluetooth
continues to not work. The output of lspci is the same as above. The
wireless/bluetooth button does toggle wireless, but does not seem to
help bluetooth. System > Preferences > Bluetooth (Preferences) ... I've
turned all four service
I also have experience this on an HP/Compaq nw8240 laptop. Although, I
only see three lines:

fuzzy on that though), however I can not connect to or from my nw8240
laptop with Feisty.

out. There is nothing new in the notification area (the keyboard goes

then there isn't a way to get the menu bar back. At least it isn't clear to me.
There does not seem to be a keyboard shortcut either. It seems necessary to be
able to get the menubar back once removed.

I already have vmware-server installed via apt-get. I had some trouble
with a particular image (created with a config that has more features)
and thought the vmware player might be more up to date. Had some trouble

Many times the HP/Compaq nw8240 laptop would shutdown on its own at
various stages before failing to start X. However, the most recent time,
I was able to edit xorg.conf and startx. This got me to the GNOME
desktop. Selected System > Admin > Install (or something like that).

Similar (or same) bug as I reported yesterday (sorry). The problem I had
was a completely blank screen on installation of 7.04 on an HP/Compaq
nw8240. X Server could not find any screens. Fixed with a few lines in
/etc/X11/xorg.conf. I have no flickering.
