Here's the log file. The error is Filesize is zero. I get the same error
when I'm trying to upload a .crw file directly to flickr. Uploading a
tif file (if the original file was a tif) works fine. Is there a problem
with two different file types for two versions of the same photo?

Using exiftool on canon crw-files seems to have no effect at all. Before
and after using exiftool, the exif info is exactly the same.

Could it be that I was jumping to conclusions? Yesterday I read that the
free Flickr account does not allow uploading of a file that is larger
than 10 MB. It could be that uploading a crw file and uploading a too
large file results in the same error by the Flickr plugin. If so, should

I was trying to write 'artist' and 'copyright'. These are not named on
the above list. Is this a restriction of the crw format, or of exiftool?
Anyway, now I think I shouldn't have filed this as a bug report. Sorry.

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 and f-spot version 0.5.0.3-0ubuntu4.
In f-spot I have a lot of raw (.crw) images. These images have extra
versions that I converted to tiff. If I select a couple of images and
choose 'export to flickr' then I see in the

On my system it works again. What I did:
* In /usr/share/applications/gimp.desktop I added at the end of the line
MimeType= ... "image/x-dcraw;"
* In /usr/share/application-registry/gimp.applications I added at the end of
the line Mime_typs ... ",image/x-dcraw"
* I ran 'sudo update-desktop-databa
I read at several places that reading and writing exif for tiff files in
gimp is not implemented (yet). So, should this be a wish list item?

Sorry for the late reply.
Attached is the file before.tif. Running 'exiftool -artist before.tif' results

I opened this image with gimp and without changing anything saved it as
after.tif. Running 'exiftool -artist before.tif' gives no result at all.

Here's the after.tif.

Of course I meant to write running 'exiftool -artist after.tif' gives no
result at all.

Same here with CRW-images: in Nautilus I get the options open with Gimp
or F-Spot, but F-Spot claims there are no applications available to open
my CRW-files (I only have gimp-ufraw installed, not the standalone
ufraw). In Gutsy everything worked fine.
