I have a problem in kubuntu amd64 updated until today (and without
openoffice.org-gnome nor openoffice.org-gtk installed).
This issue appears either as normal user or as root.
I have a nvidia graphic card with privative drivers.
I'm not sure if the bug I reported is a duplicate of this one, as som
I updated to the package in hardy-proposed and the problem was solved.

I still having problems with OSD in Intrepid, right now it appears when I press
the multimedia keys VolumeUp and VolumeDown, and the volume change, but the OSD
shows always 100%, it doesn't change at all.

Hi, I added the BackingStore option again, I used my KDE4 desktop for a

I can't use any shortcut to launch applications. I defined several

My video card is the S3 Unichrome K8M800. I am using Ubuntu Edgy Eft,

I was able to resolve the unichromeModuleData issue by renaming the file
/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/unichrome_drv.so to
/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/via_drv.so and changing the driver to "via" on
the xorg.conf.
The only problem is that this file conflicts with the package
xserver-xorg-video

If you update the adept package, this error is no longer there. I have a
fresh install of Kubuntu Gutsy, and once I updated, I don't receive
this error any more.

I tried to do the timezone fix like Jeff and the others, but I can't. I tried
with 4 diferent timezones and the problem still there.

Sorry, the problem was that I had installed the 0.6.99~git20070926+jbs0
version from a not official repository. The version that come with Gutsy
works fine.

Thanks, it works. Can somebody correct this bug? I think that it's a
