DKMS has the following "Recommends" dependencies:
Recommends: patch, make, fakeroot
therefore it's a bit weird that you're experiencing this problem. Mario
might have a clue as to why this happened.

This was meant to clean some rubbish left by a bug in a previous version
of the driver (which caused multiple versions of the same module to be
available thus confusing DKMS). It's completely harmless to leave this
check.
