2) Right Click Timer Applet and choose "Manage Presets"
3) Configure a Preset
4) Confirm Preset
5) -> Bug occurs

beneath got high priority too.

The bug still occurs. I'm using Ubuntu Karmic Koala with Gnome
In Synaptic Package Manager i try to install netbeans. Resulting error message:
"Could not mark all packages for installation or upgrade
The following packages have unresolvable dependencies. Make sure that all
rewuired repositories
Problem solved:
aptitude was able to resolve the dependencies: "sudo aptitude install netbeans"
installed netbeans.
aptitude recognized a broken dependency: java-tzdata was broken.
