On giving the following command
im-switch -c
we can select the ibus-qt module. What the mistake here is that the
command then looks for a package called
plasam-widget-kimpanel-backend-ibus
however, the real name of the widget is
plasma-widge

I have tried to install spideroak, google chrome, dropbox and xmind from
deb files downloaded from their respective sites. The USC could not
install them giving "package operation failed" error message. I had to
install them using terminal dpkg command.
