Ktorrent hasn't had a new release in two years, the last real commit to
the ktorrent repository was on 2014-12-19 and to the libktorrent
repository on 2014-05-28. It doesn't work out of the box (trouble
accepting magnet links from chrome/chromium) and other issues.

I have been trying to re-create the problem for the last few days to get
the report Brad Figg asked for (as well as a representative screenshot)
but the issue hasn't re-occurred. It might have been fixed in one of the
updates that have been released since.

Bug happened again. Will now attempt to install the upstream kernel. For
now here are the apport collections and a photo of how the screen looks.

It is still an issue in 14.10, I also believe that there is an ongoing
discussion about it on the kernel bugzilla [1] and the issue is
unresolved.
I'll test the latest Kubuntu daily image and see how that goes.
