Okay, I should have installed ltsp-server-standalone. But if i had my
dhcp from some other source... then the /etc/ltsp dir would not be made

Now I installed ltsp-server-standalone. /etc/ltsp/dhcpd.conf was made.
I have 2 nic's, so I added one line:
subnet 10.10.10.132 netmask 255.255.255.0
After fixing the stoopid ip addres/netmask error I made in dhcpd.conf,
the thin client boots !
But, the edubuntu splash screen shows, but the progress meter does not
move.
After a while stating at the edubuntu splash screen with no moving
progress bar, a black screen with a X in the middle appear

Yes, please reject the bug since it is not a big thing. However, all the
things I did, except the last answer (0ct 31) which I somehow missed,
didn't solve the problem. I did a clean install of edgy then, for other
reasons than this bug obviously :-) and of course from then on I had

in one instance I had two filesystems mixed up and mounted the ext3 as
reiser and vice versa.

Just a question, did you try to stop kmail, remove the index files, and start
kmail again ?
I don't know if that will result in more loss, so be carefull (backup

Hence, the 'last read mail' was one of those unread messages. After you

It looks to me as if the option to assign shortcuts to filters via
Settings->Configure Shortcuts should just be disabled.
On a different note, I have many filters (30+) but only one showed up in

I've had this happen to me and I files tons of bug reports and was on
IRC and so on. With the new video cards, the problem went away.

Okay people,
Sometimes, kmail takes an awful long time to start up. When it then finally
starts up, I get of lot of read mail marked as 'unread' (but not as 'new').
This is irritating since I have to go trough all those mails again to make sure
i didn't miss one.

I solved this problem by changing
# kopt=root=/dev/md2 ro
to
# kopt=root=/dev/md3 ro
But how an upgrade ever changed that option, is way beyond me.
