Epiphany is not. I just tested Hardy Alpha 3. Gobuntu uses epiphany by
default, so I tested this. Epiphany still exhibits this bug ( also
mentioned in Bug #32294 - that bug has an upstream link to

Step by step instructions:
1) Install Hardy - selecting English as the language and New Zealand as the
country (time zone Auckland);
2) Log in to Ubuntu and start Firefox;
3) Navigate to a webpage with a text box that is spellchecked (for example,
this comment box);
4) Type a word like "colour".
I just tested Hardy Alpha 1 on my Dell Inspiron 510m.
The slider now appears in GPM, but the settings on the slider do not
actually affect the brightness level.
On a related note, the brightness "icon" that appears on the screen when
one uses the hotkeys no longer shows the correct brightness. In
Timo, adding that section does not fix the problem.
I have added it to the end of my xorg.conf, restarted the computer and
the vertical scroll still does not work.

I think that it is a good idea. If I am playing music with the lid
closed, I am usually listening to the music and do not want the
computer to suspend due to inactivity.
If the laptop is low on battery, it will of course still suspend.

When I visit http://www.voxforge.org/home/read it says that it is
starting the java applet but then a grey box is all that appears on the
screen.
I am running an up-to-date Hardy install.

Importance:
I am using FF 3 beta 4 on a fully up-to-date Ubuntu Hardy install. Java
6 did not work (installed through the browser or through synaptic).

I have tested this on an up-to-date Hardy Beta. All works as expected,
so I am happy for this to be marked as fixed.
Ric, your issue has nothing at all to do with the Traceroute table. I suggest

Sorry that it has taken me so long to reply.
If I am typing a document and click insert > field > page number, I end

Hang on - are you saying that if you have the computer set to suspend
when you close the lid, and you have music playing, closing the lid no
longer suspends the computer? I would consider that a bug, as I would
expect lid-events to trump the suspend inhibit.

I am using an up-to-date Hardy. How am I supposed to make this work?
I have it all plugged in, but gnome-display-properties has absolutely
nothing useful (it only has the main display, with settings for
resolution, hertz and rotation).
Can someone please step me through some commands or point to
