This turns off nVidia and is OK for non-3d-intensive usage.
I can turn nVidia back on for gaming - and interestingly, there is no
freezing during game-play.
I also confirm that dragging links in Chrome _usual
I have installed GNOME Shell 3.28.4-0ubuntu18.04.1 from proposed.
I have tested this fix by dragging an icon up and down the launched with
my finger and dropping on it on icons. In the past I could lock up the
shell very easily. Now I can't get it to crash at all.
Marking as verification done.
Would someone be able to post some screenshots showing Colibre so that
we can all see what's being discussed?

I did the OEM install in Virtualbox, and I see the E mascot and updated E
screenshots. Closing this as invalid, but if I'm missing something please let
me know.
I suspect this was spotted because the "photos" screenshot uses a photo from D,
where the E wallpapers were not available at the time
+! to remove. We're removed everything else, I think this one missed
the original cut.

I'm untargetting the specific releases so that this doesn't show up in
our weekly reports. I would like to see some more debugging and to
better understand why it's just this one machine. It doesn't yet sound
like this is a release critical bug.

Attaching xz with JPG and PNG files.
I tried crushing the PNG, but couldn't get it any smaller. The online
tools I have used previously did manage to save 20%, but at the expense
of worsening the banding. The PNG is 2.3MB, the JPG is 651KB.

It took me a while, but I think I can see it. It looks like a rendering
artifact, but I will ask the designers to take a look.

19.04 Disco default wallpapers

Attaching the final version. The greyscale versions now have the box
removed. I've kept the original colour ones though, as the banding is
less pronounced but the filesize is slightly larger. The JPG colour
image comes in at 665k. I've tried crushing the PNG but was not happy
with the results.

We implemented "RIM and reboot" as a solution to the Plymouth messages
getting sent to the wrong TTY. Without it users would be left with a
blank screen at the end of install.
