so my current platform is not a good test subject. Will install 11.10

Hello,
I've got Ubuntu 12.10 with Empathy 3.5.92.
Every time I start Empathy my jabber accounts report "needs authorization"
(vk.com) or "status is set to offline" (gmail.com).
And this is random: sometimes one of them can connect from the first try. But

Well, if only I could know the way to surely reproduce it. The thing is its
randomness: it happens not often and after hours of working.
I can try running the mainline kernel, although not sure it will tell anything
to us.

I was trying to create an image sprite by embedding a base64 encoded PNG
image into an SVG file. I then applied a greyscale filter over that
image. When I view the SVG in a browser the contents render correctly.
When I use rsvg-convert to create a PNG image the filter is not
I discovered my issue. I was using single quotes in the URL when I
reference the filter. While this does validate it is not correct and
appears to be the source of the problem. Using a non-quoted url in the
attrbiute causes it to behave correctly. Please close this defect.

I too have this problem, and sometimes (not reliably) after increasing
from 1 to 4 workspaces clicking on the second workspace clears the
desktop, menubar and task bar leaving only the desktop image. The mouse
moves at this point but I can't do anything except switch to command
line via ctrl-alt-F

I am not running a nvida card and this happens to me..

yesturday I turned the laptop on, after my desktop came up I went enable
wireless and nothing was responding even though

I updated to kernel 3.3.6-030306-generic and its not freezing any more
however now I have a wireless connection that drops all the time... what is
strange though, if I connect to my MIFI mobile hotspot its fine.. only drops
with my wireless verizon modem..
worked fine before the kernel update.

Just performed a fresh install of 12.04 32-bit (nice installer!) and the

I have smb shares on a western digital my world book NAS
I used the "connect to server" option of the home folder to make a mount to the
NAS.
If I just create a new document in libreoffice (any type it appears) and save
it to the mounted location I get a dialog
