This problem is caused by a mismatch between the md5sums in the ubuntu
package and the new adobe flash player release 9.0.115.0 . Updating
md5sums in the package fix this. I attached a debdiff which fix the
issue, the installation doesn't give any error and flash works again in
Firefox.

enabled on most Graphic card but some ATI cards still doesn't work with
Compiz without trouble, so they are blocked. You can know which graphic

doesn't generate correct values in /etc/usplash.conf file, that's

Thanks to everybody who contributed to this bug report. Since at least
two person confirmed that the latest update fixed this issue, I set the
Status to Fix Release but please feel free to reopen it if someone can
still reproduce this issue with the latest Gutsy release.

that ubuntu uses vesafb-tng? How do you determine that?

There is 5 categories of printer drivers. It is possible that some of you will
have a printer that is not a part of the package, like the Markus Fax-1940CN
which I didn't find anywhere in
usplash works with 64bit ubuntu version with all nvidia cards except the
very new ones ( 8xxx serie ). I talked to a ubuntu developers and he
told me that we're not using vesafb/vesafb-tng since a while. I know
that vesafb-tng is not compatible with 64 bit, that's why I don't think
that ubuntu uses
FriedChicken : Thanks a lot for your testing. Unfortunately, your
printer and the printer of Markus are from the PC-FAX driver category
which we did not package. I'm asking Martin Pitt and Till if we can
still package them for Hardy but we must consider that these drivers
will be just available thr
