The best would be to ask systemd what directory to use. So the same code

And do not do that as root but as a normal user.

CCID driver (libccid). The libccid udev rule file is used only on device
plug. So the access rights are updated only on the device plug after
libccid is installed.

Thanks for your advice. I muted the S/PDIF channel with alsamixer, and now the
sound works again.
I have checked the history in /etc, and found nothing that explains why the
sound stopped working. The only action is the kernel update from 2.6.35-22 to
2.6.35-23.

Try to do:
- remove the scmccid driver (remove the /usr/lib/pcsc/drivers/scmccid.bundle
directory)
- install the libccid driver
And report here if that works.

Jpilot should not work differently with Xubuntu.
You can install the pilot-xfer package and use "pilot-xfer -l -p usb:" to check
the connection between the Palm and the computer.
