I tested the present version of LibreOffice (24.2).
It is possible to get endnotes at the end of some part of the text. One
needs to use sections.
In the section properties, one has the option to regroup endnotes at the
end of the section, then they are not in a new page.

I uploaded another copy of onevpl before vpa1977's upload. The tarball I
used was from the Ubuntu archive, not the one in the PPA.
I have sent the comment stating I have uploaded the packages,

Also tested with CHIRON-PV-SKU18 that equips Radeon 8060S (dcn 3.5.1),
this issue affects only dcn 3.5 devices.

Well, this is intriguing. While testing the plucky daily images for the
Raspberry Pi desktop, I found that this issue appears fixed (at least
for my very narrow case of a Raspberry Pi driving a particular monitor
which consistently failed to go to sleep when the desktop was locked).
