Apparently not. According to release notes [1], there are more critical
bugs blocking the Mantic to Noble upgrades. This include the libglib
transitional package with Y2038 handling [2] and Thunderbird DEB-to-Snap
conversion [3]

some profiles for apparmor are installed/created as well.
Unfortunately these profiles prevent kea services to start when for example
MySQL as backend is configured.

That library is replaced in noble by libelf1t64. It's strange that it
causes a problem since apt and dpkg should detect this replacement and
install it.

Hi,
I can confirm the same problem installing Kubuntu 24.04 with an AMD
Ryzen 9 6900HX and an AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT.
The only way I could see the login screen was to go into recovery mode,
try some options to see if it did anything and then hit continue to boot
the system.

I can see from the logs that you must have packages from the backports-
extra PPA on your system, to get newest plasma 5.27. The packages in
that are backported from 24.04, so are newer than those found 23.10.
This is likely the source of most of the conflicts and refusal to
upgrade.

Well, I cannot explain why but my problematic monitor decided to work well even
without forcing hotplug, so now I cannot test the new kernels because I can't
see the problem anymore.
I'll revisit this if it starts misbehaving again.

Just downloaded and installed Ubuntu 24.04 yesterday and had the issue with
keyboard not operating. I am brand new to Ubuntu/Linux and loving it so this is
for new folks who don't understand a lot. Step by step:
first: the torbrowser.Browser.firefox file is found in the
Ubuntu/etc/apparmor.d dir
The issue was reported in the GIT project of the tiling assistant. The
given workaround fixed the issue for me.

(Noble and Oracular already ship with version 1.10.3ubuntu2). I'm also
marking makedumpfile as Invalid, since kdump-tools was split from that

I loaded your 'test image' onto an NVMe SSD on a RPi 5, edited the
config.txt file, and it worked!

I can confirm that the package macutils from focal-proposed has fixed
the bug for me.
Test done:
Install macutils on a focal installation.
execute "binhex -H" and confirm the issue is seen

I am using a 2014 era Mac Mini and it is tri booting into linux mint,
kde neon, and 24.04 mate. the latter being the only one that doesn't
provide good audio out of the box. I read somewhere that they switched
the audio server, but we need a patch or something to make it wor

I have the same problem, can't resize any windows tested with Krita and
VSCodium. I don't know if this is related, but sometimes the mouse
clicks through the windows to the window below the current one. (only
for those that don't resize) basically unusable

I've updated my bios, but the issue seems to persist. It's still
inconsistent. Sometimes it un-blanks without issue, sometimes I get the
gray-screen-of-death, and sometimes it unblanks directly to the login
page without a GSOD.
I'll try any other debugging suggestions, including a OS-reinstall. Th
