I had some of my test runs blocked and eventually found this was due to
a kernel upgrade without reboot making needrestart to block ignoring
DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive in the apt post invoke for needrestart.
Repro:
1. Start in a Focal VM
2. sudo vim /etc/apt/sources.list
This is due to apparmor in hirsute missing the fix for
https://gitlab.com/apparmor/apparmor/-/merge_requests/656 which breaks
the apparmor python utils testsuite; the fix for this has landed in
impish's apparmor package.
We are unlikely to SRU a fix for this in hirsute, so have worked around it in

The boot with dock and dual screen crashed at 4s then, after a dozen
seconds, a kernel dump was displayed, then nothing.
The startup without the dock went well, then the connection

There are three ethernet interfaces after installing latest test kernel.
But, I still can see following error message.

Currently facing a problem with dh_auto_test: while running test w/
avocado-framework.
Avocado is not packaged in Ubuntu/Debian, and requires to be installed
via 'pip3 install avocado-framework' which doesn't seem to be accepted
by the builder.
Tried severals scenarios such as:

A recent update of thermald 1.9.1-1ubuntu0.5 in focal contains many of
the upstream thermald patches that have been backported to support more
modern laptops.
The Intel fixes included are as follows:
- Disable legacy rapl cdev when rapl-mmio is in use
This will prevent PL1/PL2 power limit

I've attached the syslog. The suspend starts at 07:39 with a lid
closure. The resume starts at 08:36. This was presumably after I had to
hard power-cycle it because you can see the power-off. Various key-
presses and short presses on the power button just prior to 08:36
produced nothing in the log.
I suspect the fixes may have landed with 1.9.1-1ubuntu0.5, I'll mark
this as fixed released for now. If the issue occurs again, please feel
free to re-open the bug.
