After an update to 2.04 Grub fails to chainload into Windows.
When selecting the menu item to boot into the Windows Boot Manager, the
menu flashes and returns.
When trying to chainload/boot via the Grub command line, nothing happens

Version 2.2.5 supplied with Ubuntu 16.04 does not have support to
Logitech G920 racing wheel, rendering it unusable. This device is in
Xbox mode by default, needing a switch to HID mode to work.

Not sure if it is the same bug, but I have some errors related to ACPI at
startup.
I experience freezes lasting around 5 seconds.
I experienced several compete freezes of the host needing a restart.
Linux version 5.0.0-23-generic (buildd@lcy01-amd64-017).

How does this situation come about? linux-firmware postinst invokes
/usr/sbin/update-initramfs if it exists, i.e. initramfs-tools is
installed. This depends on initramfs-tools-core, which should supply the
missing file. However it happens, I don't think the issue lies in linux-
firmware.

Bug confirmed on Dell Latitude Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop with
Ubuntu 16.04 factory installed. Upgrading to Ubuntu 18.04 resolve the
issue, but introduces new bugs related to Nvidia driver and
xorg/wayland. Not a good solution.

I tested again, and while I can confirm that the chromium snap cannot be
pinned to the favorite apps in a Fedora 29 VM without the
"StartupWMClass=chromium" line in its desktop file, Ubuntu doesn't seem
to be affected. I tested bionic and eoan, in the alternative gnome-
session, which has defaults
Thanks Shawn, I'm going to mark it as verified since it's an improvement
and resolve some cases. It looks like more work is needed but there is
no reason to block the current round on that, we can reopen and look to
cases still not working then.
