Hm, for some reason I'm unable to extract a good backtrace from this
core file, even with the correct samba symbols packages installed.
Do you also have a core file in /var/log/samba/cores/smbd?

1. Install `gnome-font-viewer`
2. Download TTF font (for example Symbol from
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/IamDH4/ttf-wps-fonts/master/symbol.ttf )
3. Try to open downloaded font with `gnome-font-viewer symbol.ttf`
Actual results:
GNOME Font Viewer sh
We tried to debug this recently with seb128, ultimately uninstalling
nautilus-python helped, even though I had no extension installed, it was
the python extension mechanism that was blocking.
