and xfs stayed up (nmi watchdog would eventually detect a lockup if

first of all I checked and don't have the messages myself.
So I was looking around and found [1] (and much more like it).
It seems the TL;DR is that these are systemd debug messages, enabled by setting
the environment variable SYSTEMD_LOG_LEVEL=debug, or the debug and
systemd.log_level=d
I have node.session.timeo.replacement_timeout = 20, which seems
completely reasonable in my book.
We have already established that this occurs without multipath even
enabled, thus it is not a multipath settings problem.
Also I have no containers.

Mathieu, how would I install this? As I understand it, I'd need to
replace /var/lib/maas/boot-resources/current/grubx64.efi on the MAAS
server with a GRUB built for network booting, but it's unclear to me in
which of those packages a suitable file exists.

Hi. I just did a do-release-upgrade from Ubuntu Server 12.04 to 14.04
LTS. After the upgrade eth0 does not exist. Networking fails on boot.
Its on a Dell PowerEdge 2950 with one network connection and one static
address on eth0 only (dual nics, 2nd is not being used).
