I build the 4.11.6 tag from Git and after running, here is the debug
output. I changed the directory from the original to another one and
then back to the original.

DBG[../../settings/main.c:1555] cb_workspace_changed(): active_w
I'm having this too. Running xfdesktop-settings from the command line
doesn't show any output, but I have not yet tried compiling from source
to turn on --enable-debug. I have the same distro/versions as OP.

Same result using 4.11.8git-075f69f. I also tried to use -R to reload
xfdesktop with no effect. I can change the settings OK through the

pointing to the Mesa GL libraries, nvidia-331 installed and
libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 installed (though it's not installed by default nor by
bumblebee, so I reported Bug #1383909 there).

Michael, many thanks for your comment.
Could you confirm that we should be using juju-mongodb
(https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/juju-mongodb) on ARM64 for the time
being? ISTR that juju-mongodb has omitted the libv8 engine, and associated
functionality.
Thanks again, Andy.

Same problem here, on 14.04. I need to resort to the suggestion
described by #34 after almost every system restart. Very annoying.

I should have mention in my email that I have not experienced the
problem that was reported. I assumed a fix had been in the recent
