I had the same problem with an Asus Z97-Pro motherboard running 14.04 with
Gnome.
As instructed, I added the line
to the bottom of the file < /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf > and the sound
problem went away.

issue pm-suspend manually, the system gets suspended, but opening the

I would like to also confir this bug in a 14.04.1 system. I would live

Every time I log in (either with Unity or Gnome3) I get the prompt
"Applications can no longer access your Google account. Enter password [for
Google account]:"
Typing my Google password in gives "Password was incorrect", typing my Ubuntu
password
in gives "Password incorrec
Indicator will reload modified desktop file after reboot (or at least
logout/logon)
The only hardcoded command is "xchat.desktop", so if it works for dash,
it should work for indicator either
P.S. I have Ubuntu 14.04, i didn't try this workaround on anything else

I just tried this with kernel 3.13.0-34.60 and I'm still experiencing
the problem. Brightness set to minimum and not adjustable after
undocking.
I originally encountered another (duplicate?) bug post which suggested
to upgrade the x220's BIOS, so I'm also running the latest BIOS version
(8DET69WW

I can add that docking and undocking again re-enables brightness

This is left over from when we had sheets: the "Cancel" and "Connect"
buttons were supposed to be in a bar that was latched to the top of the
OSK, while the rest of the sheet contents slid up and down underneath.
It looks like that has been implemented, but the bar is missing a
background. (And the
installed latest update today, still no change:
