Yes you can. I am getting around the problem by typing CTRL+ALT+t for
the terminal then launching whatever I need but no window management
so once you have a terminal on top of the other, you can get back to
it :)

1. plymouthd reported a crash via apport. apport told me that the bug
has already been reported, never happened to me before. (Anyways, I

it for sure. Of course I got a bunch of other proposed updates like
Xorg, etc when I did the apt-get update;apt-get upgrade

returns, which would seem more desirable rather than finishing an older

Debian unstable. The blacklist reason does no longer exist since the
obsolete GNOME 2 panel applet was disabled. Now Byzanz is only a command

Well, the point is that my ~/.pam_environment is modified (even if it is
write-protected, funny) when I connect through the session manager (which is
lightdm), and precisely at that moment (I did monitor this on tty1), but not
when I connect on console mode (on tty1, for example).
And even now
@Martin, that's interesting, since that code is generated by protobuf-
compiler. Looks like it also needs to be updated to not generate code
that imports that module directly. But I think that's a different bug
than this one specifically.
