Lors de l'install ma carte video ne m'affichait que du 1024*768.
et les pilotes proposé ne résolve pas ce problème, pire, il n'arrive pas
alancer unity.

The dlm module should be available in the -virtual kernels, so there's
some other problem with your kernel. First of all, can you please
clarify which kernel versions you have tried (both the -virtual and
-server)? Also, could you paste here the output of command:

@Tim: this system has hybrid/Optimus graphics, so you should not install

Think I see what's going on: the version of gtk-greeter included in
Ubuntu 13.04 uses the user profile's desktop background if there is one.
At least one thing is still wrong -- my desktop background is a small
image (from subtlepatterns.com) set to tile. The greeter does not tile.

Compiz (or Compiz interaction) issue.
I recently added a third keyboard layout (learning a new language); now
getting a password into xscreensaver to unlock my desktop is a _real_
challenge :(
