As far as I can tell this has nothing to do with banshee. If I try to
play music files directly from nautilus it will work (vlc, banshee,
rhythmbox) however I notice that on banshee and rhythmbox sometimes it
will freeze and you have to move the time slider and it will start
playing or it says "idl

Same problem - coming back from resume, hibernate, suspend, after one
good resume.. Subsequent resumes fail with end_request i/o errors.. Is
it swap disk related? This did not happen a few iterations before
12.xx.. I believe it was all right in 11.xx.. But a kernel update
definitely created this is

I had the same intermittent issue on my Dell laptop. I am booting 12.10
x64 from a SSD drive. Starting with 12.10, the boot time has improved
significantly and apparently that is part of the problem. I experimented
with placing a service lightdm restart in rc.local but that resulted in

In any case, the revised icons are now of apparently arbitrary sizes,
like 19*24 or 26*24 and still don't have proper pixel alignment... so,
these aren't better.

I can reproduce this bug on my Latitude 6430u, the touchpad is
recognised as a PS/2 Generic Mouse. I have tested psmouse-alps-dst-1.1
and I see this on my syslog:
