i tried "sudo rm /etc/{passwd,group,shadow}.lock" =>the same bug
then "fuser /etc/group" =>nothing
then "fuser /etc/passwd" => there was "cupsd" and "colord-sa
The tool is too new for your (old) system. requestbackport was added in
version 0.135 of ubuntu-dev-tools. Therefore you need at least Ubuntu
12.04 (precise). You can use the daily build of ubuntu-dev-tools on
oneiric [1].

We have a custom cairo background / highlight around the tick boxes.
There is consensus to remove those.
But in the adwaita theme the buttons look odd, and ubiquity is simply
using stock buttons there.

I used unity2d as a workaround since remmina worked well with it, so the
problem seems to be with compiz.

on libjpeg62.
Then I need to depend on the dummy package. Probably will call it

It seems that building rekonq on top of KDE 4.8 triggers this issue when the
package is used with KDE 4.9.

I found that this same issue also appears when using Salience, a third-
party GTK theme. Maybe any GTK theme with dark toolbars would be
sufficient for triggering this bug...?

The reason for the crash is indeed a locale setting that command-not-found
cannot handle, e.g.
LC_CTYPE = "UTF-8" (which may be introduce, for example, via ssh from Mac OS X
Lion).
Fixing the locale (e.g., unset LC_CTYPE) is a workaround,
but actually the instability in command-not-found causing
