I tried the mainline kernel 3.2.9 and did not get this issue.
But after a restart in 3.2.0-18 I did not get either, so I think this

With clickpad support it works fine for me (on Lenovo U300s with
Synaptics trackpad). Using the "buttons" gives left-click, and I can
