What Timo said sounds right. The problem persists even if a window is a
few pixels away from the edge. I must give it a significant buffer
(10px?) for it to only show on the appropriate desktop.
This effect also "wraps". I often have a terminal on the left edge of
the left desktop (in a 2x2 arrang
I lost important files when extracting older files from archive. I simply
pressed "Extract" button in File-Roller toolbar and chose folder to extract.
Unfortunately that folder contained newer files with the same name. I'm using
latest Ubuntu version - 11.04 (Natty).

I've noticed similar problem. When my pc is idle with only firefox
running, the console top command shows 27% cpu utilization from Compiz.

The problem is that the GLib annotations in gobject-introspection were crippled
with this upload:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gobject-introspection/1.29.0-0ubuntu2
Undoing that patch fixes gnome-shell. Supposedly that would also break
python-gobject, but that would be fixed by upgrading
So I guess we just need to wait for bug 828751 “[FFE] update pygobject
to 2.90.1” and then undo the debian/glib-2.0.c hack in gobject-
introspection. Adding a gobject-introspection task.
