each input device in turn [1], found the one that my Synaptics touchpad
was connected to would not respond to the left button:

I found the solution, I recorded my 'sound recorder' file in a private
directory, instead of saving it in 'Music' directory.
I suppose, Impress recognizes only sound files from 'Music' directory. This was

I also recently started getting this symptom on Ubuntu 11.04. where it
hangs on shutdown at the line "Checking for running unattended-upgrades"
for maybe 5 - 10 minutes, although it does eventually shutdown if you
wait long enough. I found doing "shut

client (bittorrent) and started downloading the iso file.
While downloading I ran wubi.exe and it started downloading.
So...
Try launching torrent client and then wubi
or start downloading the correct file via torrent and start
Nautilus 3 no longer exposes these emblem names, so there is no need to
translate them.

from the docking station without turning off the external monitor before it

I have this "undocking without turning off ext. monitor" issue, too (I am using
the 2.6.38-11 stock kernel).
Ok, but apart from that, using the 3.0 kernel solves the random hardlocks? That
would already be a huge improvement. I'll maybe give it a try later.

This is working for me in 11.04. It does have the annoying habit of

Again I deleted every thing of Calibre from my PC, cleaned register and so on.
I found out that by removing Calibre from the PC in the dir AppData / Roaming
the directory of calibre not was deleted.
After deleting this dir and reinstall Calibra, everything works fine again

In the 2.6.24-29.93.diff the early_populate_rootfs is guarded by
CONFIG_ACPI_CUSTOM_DSDT_INITRD
yet the call is guarded by CONFIG_BLK_DEV_INITRD and he had config'd
