Yes, when the display turns off sometimes it cannot be turned back on.
Instead of restarting I do something like: Ctrl+Alt+F1 and then back
Alt+F7 (or wherever your X is). That turns the display back on when
it's stuck. This is surely a bug and it appeared with older versions
of the Nvidia driver.

The first time I tried the update with 'apt-get upgrade', it hung on 'cups
stop'. I killed the process, and apt continued, complaining it did not
install everything.
I then stopped (had to kill -9) cups manually, and tried the upgrade again.
This time it hung on 'cups start'. I again killed the hu

Yet another patch. If the disc is unreadable and reading of the first 32
blocks fails set the cd_media status to 0 (not present). This will
prevent udev from executing blkid next that tries to determine fs on the
disc and which in this case may seem to hang forever locking the drive.

this running the terminal is the correct 80x24, but even with it turned

folder and Nautilus crashed. It looks a lot like Nautilus crashing when
moving files through Samba (I opened a bug report about this) and might
be related to UbuntuOne IMHO.

Bug persists in Ubuntu 10.10, flightgear Version 1.9.1-1ubuntu2
Segmentation fault occurs after running fgjs and calibrating/enabling joystick.
I am using a ms precision pro sidewinder plugged into an emu10k1 gameport.
After disabling the gameport with
``sudo modprobe -rv emu10k1_gp''

Same problem. Went through all ubuntu kernels from 2.6.36 to 2.6.32 it
works only on 2.6.32, looks like it was broken since LTS.

I just did a fresh install of 10.10, and I am now seeing this bug. It
did not happen to me in 10.04 however. I have 5 workplaces, I set
boincview.exe in the 5th workplace, then switch to another workplace,
and boincview.exe disappears, yet the program icon remains in the task
