Attaching a patch that "fixes" this bug. It doesn't fix the root cause,
but allows Gwibber to start up at least so that one can manually remove
the bad stream.
The patch is against the patched .deb sources, so can readily go in

I might not know exactly how the messaging applet should work.
But if you have pidgin running and you use the status applet, empathy
should definitely not be involved in it.

@Zack Evans: I don't know what the deal is. XFS is actually quite hard
to fragment, and even if you do manage, you have an online defragmenter
(xfs_fsr in the xfsdump package) which can take care of that for you.
This would be more likely to become a problem on Ext4, and much more
likely on Ext3.

I just had nautilus open. I right clicked a folder and clicked on the
compress. The compression dialog did its job fine and when it closed I
noticed the temp file was still showing. So I pressed F5 to refresh the
nautilus window and it crashed with this error message

The bug still lives in 2.28.1.
I found that it should be related with filtering somehow.
In my mailbox settings I turned off 'Apply filters to new messages in Inbox on
this server', deleted the folders as described above, and after the next
synchronization I can see all of the missing messages.

codes. This small patch fixes the problem.
below is patch that fixes use of uninitialized variable leading to crash whe
stack trace does not show any code from gnumeric. Loos like a signal
issue. What were you doing exactly? I'm using gnumeric every day and it
does not crash. Might be related with the use of gtk+-2.19.x.

Similar thing happens to me. Normally suspend and resume works
perfectly, but once in a while it resumes alone just after suspend, and
after that trying to suspend locks the machine hard. I do not know if
it's a coincidence, but locks occurs only when I have the ethernet cable
