Ah, the reason is that totem's apport package hook also changes the
affected package for crashes. It should not do that, only for bug

Seems this is far from being unanimous. I dislike the proposed gnome-

Hmm, the bug you linked is something about a battery warning, I think
you mean Bug #389686. I experienced it some time ago, but then compiz
could be enabled (metacity just kept running, which could be "fixed" by
logging off and on again). Here, I cannot enable compiz in the first
place.
