Maybe you could ask Brother to compile the binary files using --prefix=/usr or
whatever they use to change the prefix and provide those binaries to ubuntu.
About the printer, its a DCP 130C, but I think this one got already reported
working.

This is similar to the problem I am getting in Hardy specifically from
Firefox. If I copy and paste the web page the whole thing prints
correctly.
When I print the job is unknown number of pages and printer status changes to:

Many of the Brother drivers are in multiverse now, but many of the
brother-drivers-lpr* packages still need a packaging fix and had to be
rejected.
BTW, I propose to give a try to

I've been having this problem under feisty with the knetworkmanager 0.2 with
KDE 3.5.8.
Can this patch be applied to the 0.2 version? I'm finding it hard to believe

FWIW, I just tried this with the latest Fedora 9 code, which installed a
2.6.25 kernel. It also freezes solid when the drive is pulled from the
bay. So it is not fixed upstream.

Using totem-xine on a thinkpad x60s. Playing any movie messes up
contrast and saturation. Playing in mplayer never has any trouble
(unless the video had been corrupted already by playing in totem).
Resetting the xv settings fixes it until totem is loaded again.

more testing and some additional tweaking is needed. My notes after
looking over all the scripts' interactions:

I don't know how this sharing is supposed to be done, but whatever the
usecase for it, denying user login because the local hostname cannot be
resolved should definitely not be allowed here. The reason that I don't
think you need to lookup the hostname is because the hostname is
specified nowhere i
